Sam Tripodi

Artist and designer Sam Tripodi currently splits her time between activism, philanthropy and the making (and faking) of art. A dual citizen of San Francisco and West Marin, Sam is engaged with art communities and social equity initiatives in both locations. For many years Sam worked as a creative director in the design studio of Clement Mok. And later, as a partner in her own design consultancy, she learned how to manage large groups of creative people. More recently, she worked in a research and development team at Yahoo, where she developed experimental products and enjoyed geeking out with smart engineers. Over the course of her design career Sam has designed a wide range of things people needed  - a logo for Pixar, the global website for the Nagano olympics, a food court at the Beverly Center, an app for school teachers, a better experience for boarding a plane...After transitioning to a full time focus on art, Sam spends most of her time making meaning in her ceramic and painting studio in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.
